Maroondah Relay For Life Turns Five

The Maroondah Relay For Life has celebrated five years of making a real difference to the lives of people with cancer and their loved ones.

Michael Sukkar, Federal Member for Deakin, was pleased to lend his support to the 5th anniversary event at the Town Park Athletics Track in Croydon on Saturday.

“It was fantastic to join in this special fundraiser and to meet some of the incredible participants, including cancer survivors and people who have lost a loved one to cancer,” he said.

“The organising committee, participants and sponsors all deserve to feel really proud of their achievement in raising more than $85,000 for such a worthy cause. It was an inspiring event.”

The Maroondah Relay For Life is an annual event to raise money for the Cancer Council.
