$150,000 to upgrade the Croydon Men’s Shed

Michael Sukkar, the Federal Member for Deakin, was joined today by Senator Arthur Sinodinos, Cabinet Secretary, at Croydon Men’s Shed to announce a $150,000 capital grant to upgrade its facilities under a re-elected Turnbull Government.

Speaking at the announcement in Croydon, Michael Sukkar said he has been working very closely with the guys from the Men’s Shed around plans to expand its premises at the Swinburne University of Technology, Croydon campus.

“These are a generous and community-minded group of men, who devote their time and energy supporting our community, including local schools.

“This money will not only help the Croydon Men’s Shed upgrade their work, storage, and meeting spaces, but also importantly give them greater comfort in the hot summers and cool winters,” Michael said.

Senator Sinodinos paid tribute to the great work of the Croydon Men’s Shed, and acknowledged their camaraderie and focus on men’s health.

“A Men’s Shed is a great support network where men can build friendships, take up a hobby, learn new life skills, and serve their local community,” Senator Sinodinos said.
