Benson Oval Sporting Pavilion upgrade



  • Upgrade confirmed for Benson Oval Sporting Pavilion in Eastfield Park, Croydon
  • Benson Oval Sporting Pavilion is home to Eastfield Cricket Club and South Croydon Junior Football Club

  • The project cost is $150,000 which has been jointly invested by Maroondah City Council and the Australian Government

Benson Oval Sporting Pavilion in Eastfield Park, Croydon, is set to receive a significant upgrade as part of a joint investment of $150,000 by the Maroondah City Council and the Australian Government.

Michael Sukkar, Federal Member for Deakin, announced the upgrade today alongside Maroondah City Council and members of Eastfield Cricket Club and South Croydon Junior Football Club.

“The upgrade of Benson Oval Pavilion will help accommodate the growing memberships at Eastfield Cricket Club and South Croydon Junior Football Club,” Mr Sukkar said.

“New facilities will include female friendly change rooms and bathrooms.

“Local sporting clubs encourage people to be socially and physically active.

“By investing in the Benson Oval Pavilion, we’re investing in our community’s wellbeing and allowing more people to get involved in local sport.”

Justin Quinn, President of South Croydon Junior Football Club, said the funding is greatly appreciated and the new facilities will definitely help accommodate our growing membership.
