Clean Up Australia Day 2020

Once again, Michael Sukkar joined with local residents and community groups to do their bit to clean up our local environment for Clean Up Australia Day.

This year, Michael returned to the Simpsons Park/Somers Trail in Mitcham where he, his son Leo, and local groups, including the Heatherdale Creek Parkland Advisory Committee, put in a superb effort once again to clean up along the Heatherdale Creek bed as well the area around the Heatherdale Reserve sporting grounds.

Over a dozen bags of rubbish were filled, giving the local parklands a nice tidy up.

Over some hard-earned refreshments, Michael took the opportunity to thank the volunteers and Councillor Prue Cutts for once again turning up in support of such an important cause and wonderful Australian ritual.
