Lighting upgrade delivered for the Ringwood Central Tennis Club

  • $105,000 in funding delivered for outdoor lighting at Ringwood Central Tennis Club.

In March, the Hon Michael Sukkar, Minister for Housing, Assistant Treasurer and Federal Member for Deakin, announced that Ringwood Central Tennis Club would receive $105,000 in Federal Government funding for much-needed lighting upgrades.

The funding was committed as part of the second round of the Government’s $30 million Community Sport Infrastructure Program.

Mr Sukkar delivered this commitment and last night the new lights were turned on at this grassroots sports club. The club is now able to remain open longer into the night, increasing the number of hours they can be open for and the availability of court space.

Mr Sukkar congratulated the Ringwood Central Tennis Club for their continued advocacy for improving the grounds in Ringwood and thanked the Maroondah City Council and Aquinas College, who also contributed to the project.
