Croydon Historical Society
Congratulations to Geoff Arnott from the Croydon Historical Society on the completion of ‘WWII Veterans from Croydon & District – Saluting their Service’.
A book which tells the story of the 636 men and women who enlisted in World War II from the Croydon area.
I was pleased to support this important publication with a small grant, and want to thank the many other individuals and groups who assisted Geoff including, Maroondah City Council, Community Bank Ringwood East, Heathmont and Croydon and the Croydon RSL.
These stories of courage and heroism are so important to pass on to our children and grandchildren, particularly in the volatile world we now live in.
Copies of the book will soon be available from the Croydon Historical Society for anyone interested.
