Deakin Christmas Giving Tree

For many years, our community has shown the best spirit of Christmas by donating to the Deakin Christmas Giving Tree and supporting locals in need.

I am again asking local residents, community groups and businesses to support the Deakin Christmas Giving Tree by donating non-perishable food items including Christmas puddings and cakes, along with vouchers, children’s toys and other essentials such as new clothing, blankets and toiletries.

This year the Deakin Christmas Giving Tree will provide much-needed support to local families through The Salvation Army Ringwood.

Donations can be dropped off at my office in Mitcham or the Bendigo Bank Ringwood East until Monday December 20.

I would also like to say a big thank you to the team at the 1st Croydon Hills Scout Group for once again donating this year’s tree, which as you can see is just beautiful. You can also support 1st Croydon Hills Scouts by purchasing a tree from them via their website.
