Grant to Maroondah Toy Library

  • Maroondah Toy Library services over 460 families and provides over 3700 toys, games, activities and equipment.
  • Grant will enable Maroondah Toy Library to replace its broken and unsafe toys.

Michael Sukkar, Federal Member for Deakin, today announced that the Federal Government would provide funding to Maroondah Toy Library, a not-for-profit charitable organisation in Maroondah.

Maroondah Toy Library operates like a normal library, offering families toys to borrow rather than books.

The Maroondah Toy Library is in need of new toys to accommodate the growing demand for recyclable and reusable toys within the Maroondah Community and seeks the assistance of the Stronger Communities Program to achieve its aim to replace its broken and unsafe toys.

Mr Sukkar said it was terrific to support the library.

“This money will enable Maroondah Toy Library to replace its broken and unsafe toys. This will enhance its ability to provide a service that provides genuine happiness to hundreds of kids throughout the community.

It is a terrific opportunity to invest in the community’s families and children.”
