Tortice Dve and Warrandyte Rd Intersection

Wonderful news for North Ringwood residents and commuters.

In this week’s Budget, we are providing an additional $4.5 million to the upgrade of the Tortice Dve and Warrandyte Rd intersection.

This increased funding is required due to a detailed assessment by VicRoads which determined that traffic lights – while more expensive – was a superior option to a roundabout. I have agreed with VicRoads and worked to ensure we obtained the additional funding required.

This upgrade specifically now includes:

✅ Installation of traffic signals at Tortice Dve and Warrandyte Rd.

✅ Extending the right turning lane onto Tortice Dve from Warrandyte Rd.

✅ Safety improvements such as a bus stop, footpath connections and dedicated bicycle stopping bays at the intersection.

Having secured this additional funding we will ensure the upgrade improves safety for local residents, commuters and pedestrians.

VicRoads will shortly provide an update on the timing of the project given the major expansion of the upgrade.
